Shimla with Sangla Chitkul

Day 1 :  Chandigarh to Narkanda (175 KM /5-6 Hrs)

Pickup from Chandigarh Airport / Railway Station / Bus Stand by exclusive vehicle. Drive to Narkanda, Narkanda is 175 Kilometres from Chandigarh and will take 5-6 hours to reach. On the way Visit KUFRI. Enjoy the Scenic Himalayas from the window of your cab. Check-in at the hotel. Evening free for Leisure. Overnight at Narkanda Hotel.

Day 02 : Narkanda – Sarahan 2,150 metres / 7,055 feet, (100 kms / 4 hrs)

Shimla Local sightseeing package after breakfast at the hotel we will set off at around 9:00 A.M. Today it is a drive 04 hrs, driving through the beautiful Rampur. En route, we will have many comfort breaks and will visit the Apple orchards and Hattu peak. Later on, we continue our drive to Sarahan via Rampur, and Enroute we will stop for lunch breaks and various picture breaks, and comfort breaks.

Sarahan – the tiny village offers splendid views of Shrikhand Mahadev Peak (5,155 meters). The major attraction in Sarahan is the centuries-old Hindu temple of Goddess Bhimakali. Steeped in legend, the temple complex is a resplendent example of hill architecture. Sarah is also the gateway to Kinnaur valley. Overnight stay in Hotel in Sarahan.

Day 03 : Sarahan – Sangla 2,680 metres / 8,792 feet, (90 kms / 5 hrs)

Places to Visit in Sarahan After breakfast at your hotel, we will visit the famous temple of Bhimakali at Sarahan. This is the same temple in which human sacrifices were made about two centuries ago. After visiting the temple we will continue driving to Sangla (4-5 hrs) where you will check in at your hotel or could also choose to stay in fixed luxury tented accommodation. After lunch, you will be taken on a walk through Kamru and Sangla villages ( 1-2 hrs) and we will visit the beautifully carved old temples and Buddhist monasteries. You will have plenty of opportunities to speak to the local people in these valleys. The Sangla valley is also known as the Baspa Sangla valley, after the river Baspa which flows through the valley and it is part of Kinnaur valley. Overnight in luxury tented accommodation/hotel in Kinner in Sangla.

Day 04   :  Rakchham – Chitkul– Sangla

This Day explores the Beauty of KINNAUR at an altitude of 3050mts, just on the Right Bank Of River Baspa which offers you a spectacular view of the entire valley with Baspa river flowing in its pristine glory, fields with apple orchards & buckwheat along with the mountain slopes, dense forest with alpine & coniferous trees & towering snowcapped Himalayan peaks on the top. It is an area even today untouched and unspoiled. On the other side, there is a totally opposite scene. High, rugged, totally naked snow-capped peak, along with Great Kinner Kailash.

When you sit by the river and admire the beauty of Rakchham is completely another world. I would say, you would have never seen this kind of creation of extraordinary beauty in your life. This place is a paradise for trekking, bird-watching, professional photography, and extreme condition for the rock climber. The hotels offer different kinds of trips to the upper pasture land. You will not get such a combination in any hotels in Kinnaur.

Visit Chitkul, the last village on old Indo- Tibetan Route, walkthrough village & brilliant stream. Back to the same hotel.

Day 05 : Sangla to Kalpa: (4 HOURS/49 KM.) 2670 Mtrs :

 After B/F, check out from the Hotel & drive to Kalpa – the District Headquarters of Kinnar & once a favorite haunt of LordDalhousie. Arrive Kalpa & Check-in into your Hotel. Kalpa was known as Chini back in the days when it was the Regional Capital. Kalpa has changed little in the last 500 years. It is said that as & when Lord Dalhousie wanted to take a break from his hectic schedule in Shimla, he would come here on his Horseback. Each & every corner of Kalpa faces Jorkanden & the Kinner Kailash Peaks, considered as one of the mythical homes of Lord Shiva & by its side is a 79-foot rock formation that resembles a Shivlinga that changes color as the day passes & is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. Post Lunch rest in Hotel & in the evening visit to Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar. Dinner & O/N stay.

Day 06 :  Kalpa Ariund & Leisure

Today after breakfast you can choose to walk to the nearby Roghi village ( 3 km) famous for its natural views and cliffs. These villages are covered with thick pine forests and are also famous for apricots and apples. The sights of Kinner Kailash Peak is a spectacular sight early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light. Later on, the driver will pick you up from Roghi village and will drive back to Kalpa village to the hotel for Lunch. The rest of the day is free to relax on your own and enjoy the mountain views from your hotel. 

Day 07:  Kalpa –Shimla ( 195 KM/ 08 Hrs) 

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Shimla. On arrival check in at Hotel &   proceed for a leisure walk on the beautiful Mall Road of Shimla. This road, constructed during British colonial rule, has numerous showrooms, shops, eateries, and cafés.Evening Back to Hotel Overnight stay.

Day 08 :  Shimla to Chandigarh: (125 KM / 03 Hrs) :

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Chandigarh. Drop at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station.
