On Arrival Meet & Greet at Delhi airport / station by our Local office representative OR DRIVER & drive to TIRTHAN VALLEY.
The Valley is named after a sacred water spring called “Tirth” which originates at Hanskund Peak (4800m) and flows down, through deeply forested areas. The feeder channel to the Tirthan River is fed by deposits of ice, almost all the year. After covering a distance of 70Kms from the source, it joins Palchan Nallah at Gushaini. The Tirthan River forms the Valley in its origin at Tirth and continues till Larji, where Tirthan and Sainj streams merge with the Beas River. Some of its tributaries rise from aquifers and come out, on the surface, as springs.
It is the main river that flows across the Tirthan valley. It is wonderful to watch the turbulent river waters splashing on the rocks and flowing in between the wild forests. The waters are home to varieties of fishes. Rainbow trouts and brown trouts are the key ones found in the streams. Fishing fanatics can easily enjoy angling and fishing within the river waters.

Chehni Kothi is a secluded and pristine village up in the hills in Jibhi valley. Located at an altitude of about 2145 meters above sea level, this village is known for its two temple towers. According to the folklore, the temples are more than 1500 years old. Though there is no written record of that. Built around the 17th century by a local King Dhadhu, the temples are also locally known as Dhadhiya Kothi. What makes this village exclusive is the fact that there is no motorable road to reach the village. One has to trek up in the hills to reach the village, albeit a well-defined trail is available for trekking. Lately, the Chehni Kothi village has become one of the main attractions in the region.

Serolsar Lake is one of the major attractive places to visit in Tirthan Valley. The crystal clear waters of the lake provide a mystical experience to the tourists. It is believed that the waters of the lake are gifted with medicinal properties.
The local turned out to be a homestay owner in Shangarh. Just before the bus stopped short of its destination, he offered us a stay in the homestay if we were interested. There was a bridge being built and the road did not go till Shangarh village. Nevertheless, it was hardly a 5-minute walk away and our hearts were singing to see the wind rush through the tall pines and devdhars. It was almost 3 o’clock when we finally reached Shangarh.
The road for most of the route was in good condition and only around 3-4 km before Sharchi the road became a stony road which made progress painfully slow while the landscapes kept getting better.
Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Delhi. Our driver will drop you at Delhi Airport / Station for your onward journey .
