Trans Himalaya 14 Days

Day 1  :   Chandigarh /  – Shimla [120 Kms 3hrs]

Arrive at Chandigarh airport & leave for Shimla  Shimla one of the most beautiful & world-famous hill stations, an evening stroll around Mall road, and a ridge of your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2  :   Shimla – Sarahan [175 Kms 7hrs]

After Breakfast leave for Sarahan. En-route visit, Kufri & Fagu valley welcomes you with a great view of the Himalayan range. few photo clicks leave Narkanda beautifully located with thick woods, and the majestic view of Hatu Peak. O/N stay.

Day 3 :   Sarahan – Sangla Rakchham [110 Kms 5hrs]

Before breakfast visit Bhimakali Temple during puja. It is revered as one of the fifth Shaktipeeth. Leave for beautiful Sangla valley. Enroute Trandha Maa temple is known for its sheer drop. A journey from Karcham onwards is enjoyable and adventurous throughout the valley. The natural scenery all around and the eternal snow view are picturesque & charming. This is the most charming valley in the entire District of Kinnaur. It is also known as Baspa valley since the Baspa River flows through this valley. Explore the vicinity around including an ancient Kamro Fort & temple dedicated to Nages God. Leave for Rakchham village. O/N at Hotel Rupin River View.

Day 4   :   Rakchham – Chitkul

Hotel Rupin River View is located at an altitude of 3050mts, just on the Right Bank Of River Baspa which offers you a spectacular view of the entire valley with Baspa river flowing in its pristine glory, fields with apple orchards & buckwheat along with the mountain slopes, dense forest with alpine & coniferous trees & towering snowcapped Himalayan peaks on the top. It is an area even today untouched and unspoiled. On the other side, there is a totally opposite scene. High, rugged, totally naked snow-capped peak, along with Great Kinner Kailash.

When you sit by the river and admire the beauty of Rakchham is completely another world. I would say, you would have never seen this kind of creation of extraordinary beauty in your life. This place is a paradise for trekking, bird-watching, professional photography, and extreme condition for the rock climber. The hotels offer different kinds of trips to the upper pasture land. You will not get such a combination in any hotels in Kinnaur. Visit Chitkul, the last village on the old Indo- Tibetan Route, walkthrough village & brilliant stream. Back to the same hotel.

Day 5  :   Sangla – Kalpa [70 Kms 4 Hrs]

The morning after breakfast leave for Kalpa via Reckong Peo short stop to explore a market famous for its dry fruit & local woolen clothes, en route visit Koti Mata Temple. Arrival at Hotel Most of the Hotel rooms faces Jorkanden & The Kinner Kailash Peaks, considered as one of the mythical homes of Lord Shiva & by its side is a seventy-nine-foot rock formation that resembles a Shivalinga that changes color as the day passes & is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. O/N stay.

Day 6  :    Kalpa – Around

After the Breakfast visit, Rogi Village known for its sheer drop locally called suicide point. Then to Chini village which has an ancient temple & monastery. Afternoon again you have an opportunity to enjoy the mystical beauty of great Kinner Kailash. O/N stays at a hotel.

Day 7  :    Kalpa – Nako – Tabo [200 Kms 8hrs]

After breakfast leave for Tabo, Enroute Nako Lake, this is one of Kinnaur‘s most picturesque hamlets, Nako is slated to be declared a heritage village built around a small lake & has an important Buddhist Gompa & small temples. After Early lunch for Gui Village, famous for its mummies 500 to 600years old. O/N at Tabo.

Day 8   :    Tabo – Kaza [80 Kms 5hrs]

Tabo is one of the most important monasteries, not just in Spiti but in the whole Tibetan Buddhist world. Tabo holds the distinction of being the largest monastic complex in Spiti constructed in996 AD. Enroute Dhankar Gompa. O/n Kaza.

Day 9:   Kaza – Kee / Kibber

 After breakfast leave for Kaza sightseeing by visiting Kee Monastery & Gate Village [the Highest Motorable Connected Road in the world & Kibber Village for the ancient monastery built on what is believed to have been a crater of an extinct Volcano.

Day 10 :   Kaza – Chandertal /Batal/ Loasr .

The morning after breakfast leave for Chandertal lake over Kunzam Pass [15100ft.] Magnificent View of CB Ranges Peak .reach Batal, 2km before Roads bifurcates to Chandertal Lake. This deep blue water has a Circumference of 2.5 Kms. Enjoy the beauty of the beautiful lake & natural surrounding snow peaks. Nowadays camping is banned here nearby by the lake. Back to Batal. O/N camp. 

 Day 11 :   Chandertal —  Manali  (08 Hrs )

After breakfast Checkout & Drive to Manali. On arrival Check-in & Evening free. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 12   :    Manali  Local 

Today you will make a late start after a leisurely breakfast. We will visit the old Manali Village,
Hadimba Devi Temple and vashist village [with hot water springs]. Later on, we will drive to visit Nager Castle and Village. After visiting drive back to Manali. The evening is free to explore the Manali Market & finish with your final shopping for this trip. O/N Manali.

Day 13    :  Manali 

The morning after breakfast day is free for relaxation/ local visits. Over Night at Manali.

Day 1 4   :  Manali — Chandigarh  Airport Drop ( 08 Hrs )

After breakfast check out from your hotel and transfer to Airport./ Station  Once you reach you will take your Flight / Train back to home.
